Midnight memoir

I admire your sullen sweet face as you

slumber so soothingly

Safe and solemn, eyes closed like butterfly wings.

The way your strong cheeks soften as they lay still… how I wish to kiss them so.

Your hand curled underneath your chin, cupping your resting face,

The freckles dotting it like stars in the sky.

Dream on my love as you sleep softly,

dream of daises and daffodils and all things that make you smile.

Darling dream of me.
