Her soul is of the earth,
And his ensconced in water.
She floats in air,
He dallies with fire.
Such beautiful things,
Elemental blessings,
In the autumn moon.
He said she was pretty,
She laughed like June.
How lost was she?
Only the stars knew.
Winter air,
Same street,
She went by,
His and her eyes meet.
Stolen daydreams,
Buried memories
With a graveside seat,
Came with his smile
As he spoke to she.
His eyes like water
His spirit fire.
She was just twirling
on suspended strings
Broken wings
Pleads to the gods
To take her where
the Earth meets
The sea
For in between
Is where her heart
Longs to be
