In the breach of dawn,
Miss Josie comes to run,
Lovely like the violet, autumn sun-
Bathing Earth in burgundy wine,
A cloak of peculiar hue,
Rising from the ash of Hallow’s Eve,
Slow, the land cools to its green-
Miss Josie keeps racing,
Like a roadside stream,
No crimson rose in the sky,
As beautiful as she;
So the Sun chases her,
For a chance to see,
“Onwards until morrow”,
Says the wild spirit of she,
Though daybreak may show,
And the doves may coo,
Miss Josie will remain on her eternal move,
Side stepping thickening morning dew,
Quickening to hide her fair face,
From Solar eyes and delicate rues,
And though no man may see her,
As she dances her way through,
In a pause you might hear her soft, song,
And footprints across downed leaves of yew.
